Situated on the edge of a small village with a general store, this
 very attractive property is about three miles from the lovely village of Monflanquin.
This hilltop village is listed as "L'un des plus beaux villages" of France and offers a selection of restaurants and shops, plus a lake and health centre. Villeneuve-sur-Lot, about fourteen miles away, is the nearest large town with all facilities.
Built of stone, typical of the region, the house is full of character, with exposed beams, magnificent fireplace and attractive flooring. Comfortable furnishings have been provided by the British owners, and the house is extremely well-equipped.
Overlooking its own mill pond and bounded by streams, the property is set in the lovely rolling countryside of the Lot-et-Garonne, with its fields of golden sunflowers and maize. This is the heart of the bastide country, with Monpazier in the Dordogne, one of the most famous, just a few miles away.
Other attractions in the area include an 18 hole golf course.
