The town has a good selection of shops and supermarkets, together with restaurants and cafes as well as a daily covered market. It also has a very lively Sunday morning market (the snail seller alone is worth seeing).

The Tarn-et-Garonne, along with neighbouring departments, the Lot and Lot-et-Garonne, is bastide country (fortified hill villages built by both the British and the French during the 100 Years War), many of which are now home to specialist artisans and are well worth visiting for their architectural beauty.

The owners have restored the main farmhouse as their principal residence and live there during the Winter, although in Summer they occupy the self-contained apartment at lower ground floor level. This means that the extensive modernisation and restoration work has been carried out to a high standard, whilst keeping the original character with exposed stonework and beams. It also means that the house is very comfortably-furnished and well-equipped, offering very spacious accommodation for eight people.

There is additional accommodation in "L'Etable", a former barn, recently renovated and furnished to a very high standard. Original features, such as beamed ceilings and the old oak cattle byres, have been retained. This property can be leased either together with, or separately from, the main house.
