A pretty, secluded old stone Quercynoise cottage  with a super pool, situated about 3km from the large village of Montcuq. The village, about ten minutes by car, has shops, cafes, tennis courts and a very nice swimming lake, where one can also canoe and windsurf. The main town of Cahors, with its wonderful old quarter and historic Pont Valentre, is about half an hour away. Here there are large supermarkets, nice cafes, good shopping and an excellent Saturday market.
In a lovely setting in 11 acres of attractive gardens and woodland overlooking a beautiful valley. There is a large grassed area in front of the cottage, but the remainder is light woodland, much of it running up the side of a hill, which has been left wild. It would be hard to find a more tranquil spot.
The house is well-equipped and provides a good standard of accommodation for seven people, having four bathrooms. Linen and towels are not provided, but can be hired if need be. All the beds have light duvets.
All on one floor as follows:
Kitchen with open fireplace, calor gas cooker, double drainer sink, fridge, dishwasher. Door to garden.
Utility room with extra storage, washing machine.
Enormous Sitting/Dining Room with exposed beams, open fireplace, French doors to garden. Comfortable sofas and easy chairs, dining table and chairs.
Bedroom 1: double bed, hanging space. Door to adjacent bathroom with bath, shower, basin, WC.
Bedroom 2: twin beds, hanging space. Door to adjacent bathroom with bath, shower, basin, WC.
Bedroom 3: with bunk beds (can be used as 2 singles), hanging space. Door to adjacent shower, basin, WC.
Bedroom 4: with single bed and en suite shower room/WC.
Large covered barn for sitting and eating out. The barn provides welcome shade in Summer. Steps from it down to large Swimming Pool, 14m x 6m, with Roman steps and paved terrace. Ample garden furniture and barbecue provided.
