A delightful stone house with traditional covered  stone staircase and main entrance at first floor level and with its own adjoining barn. The property has been restored with loving care by British owners and is nicely furnished and presented, with exposed beams and stonework.
Situated in a small hamlet of about six houses and in a tranquil position, yet within easy reach of all facilities and a good base for sampling the Lot scenery which ranges from stony barren causse to green wooded areas to spectacular gorges. The hamlet is about halfway between Montcuq and St. Matre, the former of which is a large village/small town which can offer a range of shops and restaurants. Cahors, the Prefecture town of the Lot, is the nearest large town at about twenty five minutes drive. It has many good cafes and restaurants, the fascinating Pont Valentre bridge and old quarter and an excellent open air market and shopping.
There is a choice of swimming lakes in the area, the nearest only a few minutes away by car, entrance to which, at the time of writing is free. There are also various water sports on the River Lot. Wine lovers will know that this is the Cahors AOC area so vineyards abound.
